WHAT TO BRING: Safety in Beekeeping- All beekeepers face the occupational hazard of being stung by their bees, even when wearing protective gear. In light of this risk, Rock Bottom Ranch requires all students dealing with the hives to wear a veil, long pants, closed-toed shoes, a long sleeved shirt, and gloves. Bring your own gear if you have it - RBR will have some to lend out if you don't. If you wish to purchase the beekeeping gear go to: http://www.mannlakeltd.com. HOW TO GET THERE: Please bike, ride your horse, carpool, or paddle down the river to RBR whenever possible. In the Summer of 2009 we started to award most dedicated alternative transportation users and we'll keep doing it!
