Educator - Kathryn Senor Elementary School
Mackenzie was born and raised in Arvada, Colorado. Her passion for the outdoors flourished when she was a senior in high school and attended a nature based technical school where she received a certificate in Outdoor Leadership. She went on to pursue this path at Western State Colorado University as a student in the Recreation and Outdoor Education program. While at Western State, Mackenzie fell in love with environmental science. She pursued her love for the environment at Colorado Mountain College where she received her bachelor’s degree in Sustainability Studies. In her final years of college, she developed a deep love for education and spent her time working with students with severe special needs in a K-8 setting. She is beyond excited and grateful to be a part of the ACES team where her passions for environmental science and education can merge so wonderfully.
