Sam Brown

Sam is an expert negotiator. Much of Sam’s career has been in public service, including serving as Treasurer of the State of Colorado, Director of the ACTION Agency under President Carter, and Ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe under President Clinton. He was the founding Executive Director of the Fair Labor Association, a collaboration of unions, human rights groups, and major apparel manufacturers.

For over thirty years, Sam has been the General Partner of Centennial Partners, focusing on building high-quality affordable housing. Sam attended the University of Redlands and earned a master’s degree from the Eagleton Institute at Rutgers University. He was a Rockefeller Fellow at Harvard University’s Divinity School and a Fellow of the Institute of Politics at Harvard. Sam currently serves as a Trustee and Treasurer of the Aspen Music Festival and School.
