Toklat is warm and inviting, offering several cozy nooks for discussions, a presentation space, and beautiful outside spots to gather. All retreats include an introduction to this special place as well as an educational outing.

Discover the Castle Creek Valley with a Naturalist guided snowshoe or hike. Tours in the area surrounding Toklat take place on gentle terrain at a leisurely pace, and can be customized to your needs.

Toklat has long been a locals’ favorite and a community hub. It is a reflective place that, once discovered, invites your return. Today, as ACES’ Catto Center at Toklat, it is a wilderness retreat center that cultivates a community of environmental stewards.

Residency programs
The Toklat Residency provides time and space to advance the work of individuals whose projects inspire solutions to environmental challenges. Residents focus on writing and artistic projects, scientific research and inquiry, and other efforts that more broadly support ACES’ mission.
