Comments: Cloudy mornings are wonderful for great light and the ability to see birds’ plumage colors best. We were treated to a great show right away by the osprey that made several passes over Hallam Lake. Red-winged Blackbirds are gathering in large flocks to feed on grass seeds, and feeding seems to be intense with most species now as birds replenish fat reserves for migration.
