AO Forbes

Tomorrow's Voices Lead Educator

AO moved to Aspen in 1958 and started in 2nd grade at the Red Brick School. One of the first friends he made was Willard Clapper — and they spent some 55 years of fishing, teaching, skiing, river running together, including starting Tomorrow’s Voices. AO went to college and grad school and taught in Boulder for 12 years before he came back to teach at CRMS, where he has been since 1986. He wrote a proposal to start a social justice center and started Tomorrows Voices a year later. He has loved being a teacher, and he is so grateful to have lived in this valley and to be able to continue to teach at ACES. He is a doting grandfather now and an avid musician hoping to play and record more.
