Pat Banks

Agriculture Director

Born and raised in Pardeeville, WI., Pat spent the first few years of his adult life working in construction as a low-voltage technician (which may or may not have led to his passion for low-till vegetable farming). After a self-proclaimed “rebirth” that included 3 years of various adventures– volunteering on farms in the western half of the US, working on trail crews in Arizona and Colorado, and traveling in Central America–Pat finally found his calling in regenerative farming at Peacefully Organic Produce, a 16-acre farm, outside of Madison, WI.

Prior to coming to ACES in the winter of 2023, Pat spent the past 6 years working in Staunton, Virginia where he served as the Farm Director for Allegheny Mountain Institute. During his tenure, Pat piloted the Allegheny Mountain Institute Farm at Augusta Health Hospital, a unique farm-to-hospital model, and the Waynesboro Public School farm, a farm-to-school program.

In his free time, Pat enjoys reading, cooking a good meal, and playing ping pong with his girlfriend Georgia.
