“Defining Moments: an extraordinary anthology of photographs and the stories behind them” with Tony Harrington
Presentations are Wednesdays at 6pm at the Pitkin County Library, in Aspen, CO.
About the Presentation
Defining Moments is an anthology of Tony Harrington’s immense sweep of work created over decades of chasing storms, skiing down mountains and weaving between giant ocean waves. The photographs are hypnotic and each one represents a unique moment; both for Harrington and for the subject in the cross-hairs of his lens.
About the Speaker
Tony “Harro” Harrington hails from Australia, however this nomadic and adventurous photographer has a global reputation and occupies a unique niche that he has carved out during an astonishing career that started back in the 80s. His work has consistently featured in ski magazines across the globe for decades but between chasing snow storms he’s also built a formidable reputation in the world of surfing and is the only professional photographer on the planet to play such a significant role documenting both realms of big waves and big mountains.
