Exploring the Seasons through Nature Journaling

A collaboration with the Art Base
Explore this artistic, scientific, and reflective practice to enhance and integrate your connection with nature through journaling. This two-part workshop will ground you with basic techniques in observation, field notes, sketching, colors, page design, and reflective writing. Begin to develop and practice your own style of journaling as you discover the ordinary magic in the natural world around you.
All levels welcome. Journals and supplies are included.
IMPORTANT: Registration is processed through the Art Base. Your normal ACES login will not work – you will be prompted to create an Art Base account if you do not already have one.
About the Instructor:
Missy Prudden is a retired school teacher, and watercolor artist. She loves spending time in the natural world, walking, hiking, birding, cross country skiing, and traveling. Her journaling is her way of combining her joy of art and writing, by documenting these experiences. She has been involved with ACES and the Art Base over many years, taking advantage of the many classes devoted to art and the natural world. As a classroom teacher she spent regular time on outings in the mountains with her classes, which always included journaling. Now she spends that special time with her three grandchildren.
