Fermentation Workshop
Winter Workshop Series at Rock Bottom Ranch
Have you ever wondered how to make Kimchi or Sauerkraut, but have been too intimidated to try? Join us at Rock Bottom Ranch for a workshop on the basics of fermentation! Advance registration required.
This workshop will be taught by Ariel Rittenhouse, Vegetable Production Manager at Rock Bottom Ranch. It will cover an introduction on fermentation, background on kimchi and sauerkraut, and a hands-on period where we will make our own batches of kimchi or kraut to take home (your choice!). All ingredients will be provided, but we ask that you bring your own clean glass jar with a lid for your ferments. We recommend a wide-mouth mason jar, but any similar jar will do!
This program is by donation, however you must register in advance to secure your spot! The workshop will be held from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Please park in our main lot and walk down the path to our main center where we will be baking in the kitchen. Accessible parking is located by our main center.
