May Early Bird Hours

As a gift to our community, for the last two weeks in May, we are offering “Early Bird Hours” at Hallam Lake on Wednesday and Friday of each week from 7-8:30am. There will be no formal programming, and is an opportunity for birders, nature lovers, and all to enjoy the wildlife in the morning on a self-guided experience. This is free of charge, however, we are limited to 10 people at our site during this time. If you are interested in joining us, please click the Register button and fill out the google form.

While the nature preserve is open during these hours, public access to the Hallam Lake visitor center will remain closed. No bathrooms or indoor facilities will be available. Please follow all public health orders including group size, social distancing protocols, and wearing a face mask per Pitkin County order.
