Nature Journaling

Explore this artistic, scientific, and reflective practice to enhance and integrate your connection with nature through journaling. This workshop will ground you with basic techniques in observation, field notes, sketching, colors, page design, and reflective writing. Begin to develop and practice your own style of journaling as you discover the ordinary magic in the natural world around you. Join for a workshops at ACES at Toklat Riverdance property in Castle Creek Valley.

All skill levels welcome. A journal and materials provided.

About the Instructor: Missy Prudden is a retired school teacher, and watercolor artist. She loves to spending time in the natural world, walking, hiking, birding, cross country skiing, and traveling.  Her journaling is her way of of combining her joy of art and writing, by documenting these experiences. She has been involved with ACES and the Art Base over many years, taking advantage of the many classes devoted to art and the natural world.  As a classroom teacher she spent regular time on outings in the mountains with her classes, which always included journaling.  Now she spends that special time with her three grandchildren.
