Prescribed Fire Learning Session
Prescribed fire is returning to the Roaring Fork Valley near Aspen this spring! Aspen Fire will be hosting a virtual and in-person conversation about how these burns work and how they benefit local people & ecosystems.
The community is invited to the Aspen Fire Station (Station 61) in downtown Aspen at 420 E Hopkins Ave to learn about the prescribed fires (specifically, Hunter Creek & Collins Creek). Fire and forestry professionals, including ACES Forest & Climate Director Adam McCurdy, will share information from 5:30-6:00pm and there will be an Q&A from 6:00-6:30pm.
