Smart Design: Affordable Green Building

Local contractors, builders, and architects can take advantage of hands-on, green-building seminars on an active jobsite in Carbondale. The trainings are part of a series titled, “Smart Design: Affordable Green Building” that is co-presented by Green Line Architects, the Community Office for Resource Efficiency (CORE), the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES), and Clean Energy Economy for the Region (CLEER). Participants will have the opportunity to experience affordable green-building in action. The seminars will be held on location at the ACES Urban Farmhouse at 418 Garfield Ave in Carbondale, on April 16, April 30, and June 11 at 5PM.

Smart Design: Affordable Green Building is FREE and open to the public, with a $25 fee for architects interested in receiving American Institute of Architects (AIA) continuing education credits. Click here to RSVP!

April 16: Foundations
April 30: Framing + Building Envelope
June 11: Energy Systems

Follow-up conversations and drinks at Green Line Architects, 65 N. 4th St., Suite 5. These workshops are presented by CORE, Green Line Architects, ACES, and CLEER, in partnership with the City of Aspen, Town of Carbondale, and Garfield Clean Energy.
