Please join us for Wild Perspectives speaker Tyler Newton at The Collective on Tuesday, March 8, at 7pm, for “Fast and Light Day Hikes within Pitkin County.”
Born and raised in Carbondale, CO, Tyler grew up camping, motorcycling, kayaking, and skiing. After graduating from Colorado State University, he spent 2.5 years chasing snow in an Endless Winter. Tyler currently lives in Snowmass Village, CO, and can be found skiing, cycling, and mountain biking on the local trails when not working for PubWorks.
As a cyclist and ski mountaineer without a race on the calendar in 2020, Tyler decided it was time to pivot. Not being a big hiker or runner, he decided to spend the summer exploring the trails in his “backyard”. What he found was a love and appreciation for what lies beyond the beaten path.
Wild Perspectives, launched in January 2020, features exciting accounts of world travel, adventure, and the natural world through stories and visual media. This series, which provides an opportunity for community-building and story-telling, is in partnership with Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) and The Collective.
Proof of vaccination or proof of negative COVID-19 test required for all attendees. Admission will not be granted to anyone (ages 12 and over) without proof of vaccination or proof of negative COVID-19 test. Negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test must be taken no earlier than 72 hours prior to the event. Documentation will be verified upon entry to The Collective.
Thank you to The Collective for their partnership in this series:
