Amanda Carotenuto

Educator - Sopris Elementary School

Amanda grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts. She graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in Wildlife Ecology in 2021, and has since been exploring the possibilities of engaging communities with their local ecosystems. After several seasons of teaching environmental education for Mass Audubon, she moved across the country to California to teach at the Sierra Outdoor School. Amanda joined ACES in 2023 and enjoys helping people find connections to the land around them through stories and games. When she’s not teaching, she will be creating ceramics, playing music, or just exploring the beautiful valley.
