Ember Penas

Ember grew up on a small farm in Nebraska where she gained a passion for agricultural stewardship alongside a love for the outdoors. After graduating high school, Ember moved to Leadville to pursue a degree in Outdoor Recreational Leadership from Colorado Mountain College. Throughout the past few years Ember has worked for Sanborn Western Camps, US Forest Service, Senior Field Studies, and most recently as a supervisor for a children’s ski school. At ski school, Ember found her true passion for teaching which led her to ACES. When she’s not teaching, you can most likely find her out on trial, floating the river, or planning her next adventure!
