Kate Huun

Field Programs Coordinator

Kate grew up in Denver and spent her childhood hiking, swimming, skiing, roller skating, crawdad fishing, and volunteering at the local horse rescue. She attended the University of Colorado Boulder where she could be close to the mountains and pursue her interest in Environmental Studies and Sociology. After college, Kate interned for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s K-12 Outreach and Education team, where she discovered her passion for teaching about sustainability. Kate is thrilled to be joining the ACES Education team where she can teach environmental science and environmental stewardship (that’s her jam!). For fun, Kate still enjoys the activities she did in her childhood along with backpacking, rafting, climbing, yoga, and making music!
