Lydia Loof

Summer Naturalist

Lydia went to Amherst College and majored in Biology. Lydia grew up in Denver, exploring the varied landscapes of Colorado while in school, which led to an immense appreciation for the natural world. In college, she worked in a biochemistry lab, which taught her the importance of science communication. She also participated in public health investigations highlighting environmental injustice, which sharpened her desire to work in environmental education. Outside of her coursework, Lydia captained the Amherst College Women’s Ultimate Frisbee team.
