Sam Steinhacker

Naturalist & Educator

Sam earned a degree in Environmental Science with a minor in Education from Colorado College. During college, Sam led tours for prospective students, taught mountain ecology to elementary students and high schoolers, and organized ski trips with the Freeriders Union. Outside of school, Sam worked at the High Mountain Institute, taking high school students on backpacking trips through Colorado’s Sawatch mountain range. Currently, Sam is working as a naturalist at San Mateo Outdoor Education, facilitating environmental ed programs for 5th grade students.
