Educator - Basalt Elementary School

Skylar grew up in Arvada, Colorado and has been in love with the outdoors ever since she can remember. As soon as she finished high school, she moved to the mountains. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Western State Colorado University in Gunnison, Colorado. During her six years in Gunnison, her joy and love for children sparked. She was a rock climbing coach, nanny, and camp counselor. Skylar learned that her passions in life were nature and children. So here she is, an educator at Basalt Elementary! When she is not running around outside with kids, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Willow. Skylar also owns a small candle business called Aroma Rose!
