Adventure Forest Ecologists

Join us on an engaging outdoor exploratory science adventure immersed in the forested landscapes of the Roaring Fork Valley. Discover what makes aspens the pioneers of the forest, how pines use sap as a weapon, why spruce forests are nature’s reservoirs, and more! Through hiking, field experiments, forest exploration, and expert encounters you will uncover what makes a forest healthy. ACES educators will lead you in documenting, discovering, and interpreting your surroundings by systematically gathering data to increase your knowledge of the wonders of the forest landscapes.
