Summer 2026

Rock Bottom Ranch CSA Pickup

The Rock Bottom Ranch CSA share is an easy one-stop shop to get Rock Bottom Ranch produce mid-valley, mid-week. Each week, for 19 weeks, from Wednesday, June 3rd, until Wednesday, October 4th, pick up a box of the best seasonal produce with the option to purchase additional meat and eggs from our onsite store.

This approach allows you to eat what’s in season, and requires experimenting with seasonal crops and how to use these staples in different ways. CSAs can lead to more creativity in the kitchen and take the stress out of grocery shopping. In June, boxes are full of frost-sweetened greens, and summer variety comes in full force in August, with tomatoes, summer squash, and more.

NEW IN 2026! Aspen Saturday Market CSA Pickup

This year, we’ll offer an Aspen Saturday Market CSA share for pickup starting Saturday, June 6th, through Saturday, October 3rd. This share allows you to prepay and receive a 10% discount on vegetables and eggs at our farmers’ market stand. Meat is not included. This option gives you the benefits of being a CSA member, with the flexibility of being a farmers’ market shopper.

NEW IN 2026! Bread Share Add-on

We will also partner with Crust and Crumb to provide CSA members the opportunity to purchase a whole or half loaf of fresh sourdough each week alongside our produce. Each week will feature a baker’s choice of either a plain or inclusion loaf (think jalapeno cheddar, Italian herb, cinnamon raisin, and more!). For more information, please visit Crust and Crumb

This RBR CSA share is an easy, one-stop shop to get a variety of Rock Bottom Ranch produce mid-valley, mid-week. Each week you will receive a box of the best seasonal vegetables, veggies curated by our farmers.

The selection in each box varies throughout the season, helping CSA participants to gain a better understanding of seasonality, while enjoying the freshest and most delicious produce. Participants also receive a weekly update from Rock Bottom Ranch farmers, which includes a seasonal recipe we love, as well as some tips and tricks for keeping your produce fresh that our farmers have learned throughout their careers.

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. CSA shares allow customers to pre-pay for vegetables for the season, and provide communities with an opportunity to develop deeper connections with local farmers and locally-grown food. Picking up fresh vegetables from those who grow them is a special experience, and offers the chance to learn exactly where your food comes from, and exactly what is in season.

Our 19-week season begins on Wednesday, June 3, and ends on October 7, 2026. CSA members will pick up between 2 pm and 6 pm each week at Rock Bottom Ranch in Basalt.

The cost for the season is $855, with flexible sliding-scale pricing and payment plan options available.

Email Connor Matts at cmatts@aspennature.org for more information on flexible pricing for our Rock Bottom Ranch CSA Share. We are committed to helping our products be accessible.

Our Aspen Saturday Market CSA share is available starting the first Saturday in June, through the first Saturday in October.

Each share has 6-9 crops in total, comprising 4-5 “backbone” crops and 2-4 seasonally rotating crops.

Backbone crops include greens (salad mix, arugula, mustard mix, swiss chard, and kale), radishes, scallions, and cucumbers. Seasonally-rotating crops include, but are not limited to: spring garlic, snap peas, cherry tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, summer squash, potatoes, eggplant, tomatillos, and broccoli. The last share of the summer will stock members up on fall storage crops like onions, potatoes, winter storage radishes, and winter squash.

RBR CSA shares can supplement meals for a large family, feed a couple, or work for a single person who loves to cook and eat vegetables.  Because of changes in seasonal availability, shares tend to be on the smaller side in the early summer, but are bursting with bounty in August and September.

We do not offer half shares, but we encourage you to split a box with a friend. You can alternate weeks or split the produce up each week – you decide!

ACES does not have the capacity to coordinate split shares. It is up to individuals to figure out a system that works for them!

CSA members will receive a weekly newsletter with a reminder about the upcoming pickup.

If you cannot pick up your share between 2pm and 6pm on Wednesdays, you can have someone else pick it up for you during that time.

We understand that life happens, so we can pack a bag for you to pick up on Thursday if you communicate that you won’t be picking up prior to 5 pm on Wednesdays. Please email cmatts@aspennature.org each week you need late pick-up accommodations.

To ensure the quality of our fresh produce, we cannot accommodate pickup later than 4 pm on Thursdays following the scheduled CSA pickup.

We are unable to accommodate early pickups, so please plan for pickup before signing up for a CSA share. In addition, this year we are adding a “Flex Week.” If you cannot pick up your share once through the season, you can opt to receive a weekly share on October 14th. In order to receive the “Flex Week Share” you must email Connor at cmatts@aspennature.org when you miss a week and request the “Flex Share.”

A Market CSA share is a convenient and flexible way to support Rock Bottom Ranch by prepaying for your share of the season’s bounty before the market season begins in June. Many folks want to join a CSA but are hesitant to get too many items each week, or to miss out on their shares if they travel. A market share solves these issues by allowing you to shop at our market stand to buy vegetables and eggs for maximum flexibility. If you are planning a feast and need lots of produce, you can get what you need. If you only need an item or two, then you have the ability to shop small. If you don’t need anything, are out of town, or can’t make it to the market one week, you don’t miss a share, just shop the next time you head to the market.

There are multiple share options available from $125-$1250 to fit your needs. When you buy a Market CSA share, you pay 10% less than the credit you receive as a benefit for joining our CSA and prepaying. For example, if you buy a $500 share, you will only pay $450.

No, the Market CSA share can only be used for produce and eggs at this time.

When you buy a Market CSA share, you will receive a physical payment card that you can pick up at the first Aspen Saturday Market, as well as a digital card that you can use each time you come to our stand.

You can use your card at our onsite store at Rock Bottom Ranch through the end of the year. Any leftover balance at year’s end will be forfeited.

Currently, the Bread Share add-on is only available during our regular Rock Bottom Ranch CSA pickup on Wednesdays from 2pm – 6 pm.

We don’t have a formal add-on option for meat and eggs. However, our pasture-raised eggs, chicken, lamb, beef, and additional produce is available to purchase at our on-site store at Rock Bottom Ranch during pickup. These items sell on a first-come, first-served basis, so we cannot guarantee every cut will be available when you pick up your CSA. But rest assured that there will always be something great available to complement your share!

We will have select vegetables, meat, and eggs available for purchase at Rock Bottom Ranch during our open hours:

October-May: Wednesday-Friday 9 am-4 pm

June-September: Wednesdays-Friday 9 am-4 pm, Saturday 9 am-1 pm

If a CSA or visiting us at Rock Bottom Ranch isn’t a great fit for your lifestyle, please visit us at farmers’ markets throughout the summer!

We attend the Aspen Saturday Market each week with a full selection of produce, meat, and eggs.
