IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATES:
The visiting birds from Nature’s Educators—including the Eastern Screech Owl, Bald Eagle, Turkey Vulture, Peregrine Falcon, and Swainson’s Hawk—will no longer be attending tomorrow’s Raptor Fair. Due to the rapidly evolving wildfire situation near Nature’s Educators’ facility outside of Pueblo, their team is preparing to evacuate more than 30 birds of prey and other educational animals to a safe location. Given the urgency of those efforts and the demands on their staff, they are unfortunately no longer able to participate in this year’s Raptor Fair. While we’re disappointed that their birds won’t be joining us, their first priority is ensuring the safety of their animals and team, and we fully support that decision.
The event will still take place as scheduled, and you’ll have the opportunity to meet ACES’ resident raptors, including our Red-tailed Hawk, Golden Eagle, and Great Horned Owl. We will have some great educational stations including owl pellet dissection, crafts, and other family friendly activities.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope you’ll join us for a wonderful day celebrating Colorado’s incredible birds of prey while wishing the Nature’s Educators team and their animals safety during this challenging time.
If you have any questions or can no longer attend, please contact Mason Marsh at mmarsh@aspennature.org.
Thank you to our Presenting Sponsor for making this event possible, Clarks Market.
