Seeking Balance, Finding Adventure: Climate Change in Patagonia

“Seeking Balance, Finding Adventure: Kayaking, Skiing, and Climate Change in Patagonia”
Marian Krogh

In October 2019, Marian and her teammate traveled to the Southern Patagonian Icefield to attempt a human-powered adventure: using sea kayaks to access the icefield, and then climbing and skiing from there. Along the way, Marian and her team visited local communities and learned about the challenges these communities face as a direct result of climate change. Join Marian for this special presentation, where she will share the story of her adventure and of the people her team met along the way.

Marian is a passionate skier, adventurer, and environmentalist. She splits her time between Wanaka, New Zealand and Aspen, Colorado where she works as a ski instructor.
