Caregiver & Child weekly nature class
Thursdays, from June 15 – August 31
Best suited for ages 0-4 year olds. Baby siblings are welcome.
Register for one or more days!

Even the smallest explorers can enjoy summer at ACES in our new weekly class for 0-4 year old children and caregivers. Join for just one class or sign up for multiple this summer!

Arrive between 10-10:30am to freely investigate our “hawk’s mound” area and connect with other families. From 10:30-11:30am come together for stories, songs, games, and a walk to find the answer to a nature question. The class formally ends at 11:30am, but families are welcome to continue exploring as long as they like. Denali will select a different theme each week and tailor these experiences to children ages 0-4.

Class will be held outside rain or shine so please dress appropriately for the weather each day. Bathrooms will be available.

Registering siblings? If you would like to register multiple children, please make sure to register ALL children. This will automatically include you as the parent. Our system will automatically recognize a sibling discount. If you are a current ACES member, please add your ACES member coupon code at check-out.

About the Instructor:

Denali Barron joined the ACES family as a summer naturalist in 2012. Since 2013, she has taught thousands of students through the ACES education programs, and she never gets tired of spending time with kids as they expand their sense of wonder for our natural world. Now that Denali has two children of her own she is dedicated to learning about our beautiful home from the very small person’s point of view. She is excited to share Hallam Lake nature preserve with other young explorers and their caregivers.

How To Get There:

Please walk, bike, bus, or carpool to ACES at Hallam Lake whenever possible! Parking is extremely limited and alternate transportation is fun and saves the planet.

BIKE BOARD CHALLENGE: Fill out a Bike Board Card and add a sticker every time you come to Hallam Lake in something other than your own car. Bike Board participants are entered to win great prizes all summer long including local gift certificates, bike accessories, and more.

PARKING LOT: Limited parking is available for Hallam Lake visitors only. Please park efficiently. Drop-off overflow parking for Hallam Lake programs is available in the West End (2 hour free parking) with an easy walk down the stairs to the center. We are an IDLE FREE community.
