Comments: 

Active nests and newly fledged young birds were highlights today, including the Cooper’s Hawk nest with three chicks and an active House Wren nest. We saw parents feeding just-fledged Yellow Warblers and Black-capped Chickadees, and fluffy yellow goslings grazing by the river. Birding is at an all-time high now with breeding season in full tilt. We expect to start seeing some of the early southward migrants in the valley this month, including Rufous Hummingbirds.
