Comments:

Active nests and newly fledged young birds were highlights today, including the Cooper’s Hawk nest with three chicks and an active House Wren nest. We saw parents feeding just-fledged Yellow Warblers and Black-capped Chickadees, and fluffy yellow goslings grazing by the river. Birding is at an all-time high now with breeding season in full tilt. We expect to start seeing some of the early southward migrants in the valley this month, including Rufous Hummingbirds. Join us on Tuesday morning for birding outings at Hallam Lake and Rock Bottom Ranch!
