Master Trackers (Grades 2-3)
Are you ready to put your tracking skills to the test? As a Master tracker, you will embark on a scavenger hunt, composing the story of the wildlife at ACES Hallam Lake based on the animal evidence left behind in the snow. Whose scat is that? Whose tracks are those? Who’s hunting who and where did that animal go? Enjoy an action-packed winter day tracking animals at ACES Hallam Lake as a Winter Explorer and discover this winter wonderland firsthand.
This class is for students currently enrolled in grades 2-3.
What To Bring:
Pack a backpack with snack, lunch, reusable water bottle, extra change of clothing, sunscreen, warm hat, gloves/mittens, and sunglasses. Please remember to label everything. Wear appropriate clothing to play in the snow and sturdy, winter boots!
How To Get There:
Please walk, bike, bus, carpool, or ski to ACES sites whenever possible (yes, you really could cross country ski to ACES when there is enough snow). Parking at all sites is extremely limited and alternate transportation is fun and saves the planet!
