Sparking wonder in the classroom and the outdoors
Our extensive education programs kindle curiosity and prepare students to excel in science at an early age. Since 1975, ACES Ed has partnered with local schools to provide environmental education in the classroom and in the field through hands-on exploration and investigation. Regarded as "a science classroom without boundaries," ACES Ed curriculum is aligned with national and state science standards, and classroom lessons are deeply integrated with field programs at sites around the Roaring Fork Valley and western Garfield County. Our mission is to foster generations of ecologically literate citizens who are stewards of our planet.

ACES provides nationally acclaimed, full-time, in-school environmental science education at Aspen Elementary School, Basalt Elementary School, Crystal River Elementary School in Carbondale, and Kathryn Senor Elementary School in New Castle.
ACES Ed has expanded its programs 200% in the past five years. We work with schools from Aspen to Parachute.
Exposure to nature reduces stress levels, and improves fitness, creativity, and focus. By immersing students in the complexity and magic of nature, ACES supplies critical life experiences that enhance academic success, health, and well-being.
Tomorrow's Voices is college-level class offered to high school students in the Roaring Fork Valley that focuses on fostering the skills and knowledge necessary to be engaged citizens in our community.
ACES offers teacher training workshops, presents at regional and state conferences, and consults with schools, districts and environmental education organizations across the state - so that we are all working together to provide excellent environmental education throughout Colorado.
ACES Educators teach with the knowledge to inspire and enthusiasm that is contagious. Our education team includes bilingual, licensed, and creative teachers with extensive classroom and field experience.
