Amy Labrecque
Educator - Basalt and Crystal River Elementary Schools
Amy grew up sauntering through the woods of rural New Hampshire where she learned to appreciate and love nature. She studied Environmental Conservation and Sustainability as well as Studio Art at the University of New Hampshire, and led outdoor adventures for fellow students in the White Mountains. During the past few years, Amy taught young kids about the intertidal zone in New Hampshire, hiked through the bushes to search for endangered birds in Oregon, and led classes of Seattle 5th graders into the forest to learn about Washington ecosystems. In her free time, Amy loves to backpack and explore the wilderness, learn about native birds, and create colorful artwork for friends and family.
