Jasmine Sizer

Naturalist

Jasmine graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a major in Political Ecology and a minor in Political Economy. She has recently completed her honors thesis titled: Nickel Mining in Papua, Indonesia as a Form of Neocolonialism, inspired by her time in Raja Ampat, Indonesia and Mo’orea, French Polynesia. She is inspired by the interconnections of science and storytelling, leading her to be the head artist of UC Berkeley’s The Environmentalist magazine, an apprentice producer of KQLW’s Climate Break podcast, and an assistant horticulturist at the UC Botanical garden!
