Trook Apprentice

John is an Eagle Scout who grew up on a farm in the Piedmont of North Carolina and is a rising third-year student studying Organismal Biology and Ecology at Colorado College. He has been passionate about conservation, ecology, and outdoor education since childhood, when he spent his days exploring the woods with his cousins. He is excited to study abroad in Thailand this fall, where he will study the country’s culture, ecology, and sustainable agriculture. He is a member of the Colorado College Farm and the Colorado College Science Outreach Club and is excited to spend his summer teaching elementary kids about the outdoors. In his spare time, he likes to backpack, camp, ski, go to concerts, read, and crocheting hats (the only thing he knows how to crochet).
