Maddy Keller

Educator - Crystal River Elementary School

Maddy grew up in the Chesapeake Bay Area, where she spent her days exploring coastal wetlands and developing a deep appreciation and curiosity about her environment. Maddy graduated from Sewanee, The University of the South in 2020 with a BA in biology and studio art. Since graduating, she has worked as an environmental educator across the country, from Florida wetlands, Alabama deciduous forests, California coastal ecosystems, and most recently Yosemite National Park. Maddy loves fostering experiences that empower and connect students to the landscapes they are a part of. Maddy is excited about the opportunity for the chance to build long term relationships with students at Crystal River Elementary School! When she’s not teaching, Maddy enjoys painting, backpacking, snowboarding, cold plunging, and foraging.
