Megan originally came to Aspen as an intern for the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) in 2002 and worked for the organization as a naturalist, community outreach coordinator and educator. Megan currently teaches sixth-grade earth science and collaboratively designs and teaches a novel Environmental Chemistry and Physics class. She is the chair of the science committee and recently facilitated the school’s accreditation process with the Association of Colorado Independent Schools.
As a lifelong learner, Megan regularly seeks professional development opportunities to hone best teaching practices such as bringing mindfulness into the classroom. As a novice birder and plant enthusiast her friends frequently remark, “You can take the girl out of ACES, but cannot take ACES out of the girl.”
