Rachel Covington
Naturalist
Rachel graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Environmental Science and a minor in Marine Science. She spent time in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands as part of an immersive ecology course. Rachel’s interests include land-sea interactions and food-web modeling. She wrote her thesis on land-based recreational shark fisheries. Most recently, she spent the past winter as a ski instructor in Mammoth, California. Rachel’s ties to the natural world stem from time spent with family in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
