Trisha Lavery
Community Programs Coordinator
Trisha spent her formative years in Lake Placid, NY, located in the heart of the Adirondack Park. In 2017, she graduated from the University of Vermont with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Studio Art. Since then, Trisha has held many roles within the field of environmental education, from farmyard educator at Shelburne Farms in Vermont to field instructor at Teton Science Schools in Jackson, WY. Her desire to continue inspiring students to act as stewards of the environment led her to Walking Mountains Science Center in Avon, Colorado, where she completed her M.A. in Natural Science Education in 2022.
Trisha is passionate about place-based education and strives to foster justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion within her field. While teaching, she also finds joy in exploring the connections between art and science. Outside of work, Trisha enjoys spending time on the river fly fishing, painting, and eating cheese.
