Greta Brown

Marketing Manager

Originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, Greta grew up hiking, skiing, and dancing around in the Sangre de Cristo and San Juan Mountain Ranges with her five older siblings. She forged a lifelong bond to the mountain and desert landscapes she calls home.

She graduated from the University of Vermont with a dual degree in Environmental Studies and English. While in college, she researched cyanobacteria blooms in Lake Champlain, contributing to conservation efforts through public environmental education in the region. She also worked with elementary school students in an after school birding program, which aimed to familiarize students with the natural world in their backyards. She ran communications for the university’s Ski and Snowboard Club, the largest student-run organization in the country at the time.

Following graduation during the height of the pandemic, she came to Aspen as an ACES Summer Naturalist, stayed on for the winter season, and can’t imagine living anywhere but the Roaring Fork Valley for the foreseeable future.

Greta is a passionate storyteller and communicator, and is excited to be leading marketing efforts at ACES in the role of Marketing Manager, where she hopes to continue spreading ACES mission to educate for environmental responsibility, connecting with anyone and everyone along the way.
