Molly Farrell

Vegetable Apprentice

Born and raised in Minnesota, Molly discovered a passion for the natural world through paddling and camping along the shores of Lake Superior and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. In 2017, Molly moved to Washington to attend the University of Puget Sound and explore the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. After a year, she took a break from classes to travel and farm throughout Europe. While tending to Irish sheep herds, harvesting vegetables in the Czech Republic and processing French and Croatian wines, Molly fell in love with farming. Upon returning home, she completed a Bachelors of Science degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems from the University of Minnesota. During her time as a University of Minnesota Gopher, Molly founded a coalition of community gardens, consulted for educational garden spaces and worked closely with the Twin Cities farmers market community. As a vegetable apprentice at Rock Bottom Ranch, Molly is excited to learn from a regenerative farm model and share her farming knowledge with Rock Bottom guests and the Roaring Fork Valley community. Off the farm, Molly is an avid skier, backpacker and ammature forager who loves travel, visiting national parks and collecting new hobbies.
